Flipping the Pyramid Seminar

This seminar, designed and taught by Dr. Gina Rae Foster, Teaching & Learning Center Director, continues to engage faculty in developing Gen AI-infused assignments that develop critical thinking skills. A Pressbook of faculty assignments, commentary, and facilitator insights will be published on CUNY Academic Works this spring.

Innovative Pedagogies with Gen AI

This self-paced workshop, created by Dr. Patrizia Magni, Instructional Designer, and the Office for Digital Learning, offers faculty both AI literacy training and opportunities to connect AI tools and skills with innovative teaching. Available as a Brightspace organization: faculty can search for “genai” and self-enroll.

AI and Academic Ethics

These slides provide an overview of faculty and student AI Ethics concerns, a list of ethical competencies, and recommendations for effective teaching of AI ethics.

AI Brown Bag Ethics discussions

These monthly conversations, facilitated by TLC Director, Dr. Gina Rae Foster, bring faculty and staff together to consider such questions as integrity, accuracy, intentions, bias, and justice.

AI+Positionality Learning Communities

In this initiative, Dr. Emese Ilyés, Doctoral Lecturer in Psychology, mentors faculty learning communities in reading and applying  her AI and Positionality: A Guide for Learning Communities to their courses.
